The UG10-109 dust seal is an OEM replacement component designed for the KUPA UP-200 / UG12 handpiece. This aluminum dust seal is installed in the front-end assembly of the handpiece to prevent dust, debris and metal shavings from entering the high-speed bearings and spindle region, thus ensuring smooth, reliable operation at professional speeds.

Installation Tips

  • Confirm your handpiece model and revision uses UG10-109 — some variants may use a different dust seal part number.

  • Inspect the seal groove and surrounding area for wear, corrosion or damage — replacing the seal without addressing a damaged groove may not fully resolve performance issues.

  1. Unplug the handpiece and make sure it’s fully stopped before disassembly.

  2. Remove the front housing or nose cone as required to access the dust seal location.

  3. Remove the old dust seal, clean the groove thoroughly and remove any debris, metal shavings or lubricant residue.

  4. Install the new UG10-109 dust seal, ensuring correct orientation and full seating.

  5. Re-assemble the handpiece and perform a no-load test (run without a bit) at lower speed to verify smooth operation and absence of abnormal sound or vibration before full use.
