UP-200 Carbon Brush PKE-560
This is an OEM replacement set of carbon motor brushes (part number PKE‑560, often listed as PKE‑560A) for the KUPA UP‑200 / UG12 series handpieces. It comes in a 2‑piece pack and is designed to restore proper motor contact and performance, especially when the existing brushes are worn and the motor begins to sputter or lose power.
Features
-
Application: Intended for UP‑200 / UG12 handpieces, used in the motor’s commutator section to ensure continuous electrical contact.
-
Purpose: Replacing these brushes helps maintain smooth motor operation, full speed capability and reduces sparking or erratic behavior in the handpiece.
- OEM‑match: Using the correct part number ensures proper fit, correct material and compatibility — avoiding fitment issues or sub‑par performance that may occur with generic brushes.
Installation Tips
-
Confirm that your handpiece uses brush set PKE‑560 (or PKE‑560A) — older or alternate revisions may use different brush part numbers.
-
Inspect the current brushes for wear: typically they should have adequate length remaining and not be overly worn or damaged.
-
Inspect the motor commutator and brush holder assembly: if these are damaged or excessively worn, simply installing new brushes may not completely restore performance.
-
Unplug the handpiece and ensure it is fully stopped before servicing.
-
Remove the motor housing or access cap to expose the brush holder assembly.
-
Remove the old brushes, noting their orientation and how the springs and terminals are positioned.
-
Insert the new brushes (PKE‑560), making sure the springs provide proper tension and that the brush face sits correctly on the commutator.
-
Re‑assemble the handpiece, plug it in, and run under no‑load (no bit) at low speed first to confirm smooth operation, minimal sparking and no abnormal noise or vibration.
