The #520K09 spacer is an OEM-grade precision metal component designed for use in the KP-55 and KP-60 handpieces from KUPA. It provides the correct spacing and structural support between internal assemblies, helping to maintain alignment and proper clearance under high-speed rotation. When a spacer wears, becomes undersized, or is lost, tool performance can suffer — this replacement ensures your handpiece continues to operate smoothly.

Installation Tips

  • Confirm the spacer currently in your handpiece matches the required spec (ID ~8.87 mm, OD ~11.95 mm, length ~15.48 mm).

  • Inspect the surrounding internal housing or components (bearing surfaces, housing, spindle) for wear or damage—if adjacent parts are worn, just replacing the spacer may only partially restore performance.

  • Disconnect the handpiece from power and ensure it’s stopped before disassembly.

  • Remove the front housing or relevant internal assembly to access the spacer location.

  • Remove the old spacer carefully, clean the mating surfaces of debris or old lubricant.

  • Insert the new 520K09 spacer, ensuring it seats fully and squarely and that nearby parts (bearings, shaft, housing) align properly.

  • Re-assemble the handpiece and perform a no-load test run (with no bit installed) to check for smooth rotation, minimal vibration or noise before full use.
