The 5130-43 clip ring is a precision retaining ring specified for KUPA’s UP-200 / UG12 handpiece series. It functions as a small but critical component used to secure internal assemblies—such as bearings, spacers or shafts—within the handpiece, preventing axial movement or unintended dislodging under high-speed operation.

Features

  • Ensures secure retention of internal rotating or axial components in your handpiece, which helps maintain correct alignment and smooth performance.

  • Helps prevent axial play or bearing shift, which can lead to bit wobble, vibration or premature wear of internal parts.

  • Relatively low cost replacement part that can significantly help restore tool stability without replacing major assemblies.

  • OEM part helps maintain proper fit and tolerance—important in precision high-speed handpieces.

  • Material: Stainless steel (high-speed rated, matching internal tool demands)

  • Dimensions (approximate based on similar part):

    • Inside diameter ~9 mm

    • Outside diameter ~13 mm

    • Thickness ~0.16 mm

Installation Tips

  • Verify your handpiece parts diagram to ensure the correct part number is 5130-43 (or whether your revision uses 5103-43 or another variant).

  • Inspect the groove or seat where the ring installs for damage or wear — replacing the ring alone may not resolve issues if the seating area is compromised.

  1. Disconnect power / unplug the handpiece and ensure it is fully stopped.

  2. Disassemble to access the internal component where the clip ring holds position (bearing/spacer area).

  3. Carefully remove the old ring, clean out any debris or metal shavings from the groove.

  4. Install the new clip ring in its correct groove, ensuring it fully seats and the retained component is properly positioned.

  5. Re-assemble the handpiece and perform a no-load test (without bit) to check for smooth rotation and absence of abnormal vibration before regular use.
