This wave washer (#KW-100A) is an OEM spare part from KUPA intended for the UP-200 / UG12 series handpieces. It’s a thin, corrugated (wave-profile) metal washer used inside the high-speed rotating assembly to maintain proper preload and axial clearance between components.

Installation Tips

  • Confirm that your handpiece uses the KW-100A washer size (measure existing washer if possible).

  • Inspect the seating surfaces (housing, shaft, bearings) for signs of wear or damage — a new washer won’t fully restore performance if other parts are worn.

  • Power off and unplug the handpiece; allow it to fully stop.

  1. Disassemble to access the location of the washer (typically above/between bearing or rotor components).

  2. Remove the old wave washer, clean surrounding parts and ensure no debris or metal shavings remain.

  3. Insert the new KW-100A washer, ensuring it lies flat, properly seated and oriented correctly.

  4. Re-assemble handpiece, then run a no-load test (no bit installed) at low speed to verify smooth operation and minimal vibration before full use.
