Installation Tips

  • Confirm your handpiece uses part #KP-6009 and that the existing spacer matches the dimensions.

  • Inspect adjacent components (housing, bearings, spindle) for wear—if they’re damaged, installing the spacer alone may not solve all issues.

  • Unplug the handpiece and allow it to fully stop before disassembly.

  • Remove the front nose/housing and access the spacer location.

  • Remove the old spacer, clean the area thoroughly of debris or metal shavings.

  • Install the new #KP-6009 spacer ensuring it seats properly (not tilted or misaligned).

  • Re-assemble the handpiece and test unloaded (no bit) at low speed to verify smooth operation before full use.
