This smaller dust seal helps prevent dust, debris and metal shavings from entering the internal chamber of your handpiece, protecting bearings and other critical components. By installing this seal you can help maintain smooth rotation, reduce contamination-related wear, and extend the service life of your handpiece.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect the handpiece from power and ensure it’s fully stopped and safe to work on.

  • Remove the collet chuck or front housing to access the existing small dust seal.

  • Clean the spindle housing area of any metal shavings, dust, lubricant buildup.

  • Press in the new #520K15 seal flush — ensure orientation is correct and seal lips are undamaged.

  • Re-assemble the handpiece, and run under no-load briefly to check for smooth rotation and absence of vibration or noise.
