The Front Housing #520K02 is an OEM-grade replacement metal assembly designed specifically for the KP-55 handpiece. This component forms the front section of the handpiece’s body, housing and aligning the internal spindle assembly, collet chuck, bearings and front nose. Over time, wear, damage or deformation of the housing can lead to vibration, mis-alignment, bit wobble or inefficient cooling. Replacing this part restores the structural integrity and alignment of the front end of the handpiece.

Features

  • OEM-correct design: Listed under KUPA’s “KP Birds” parts for the KP-55 series, ensuring proper fit and finish.

  • Precision dimensions: OD: 15.59 mm | ID: 12.55 mm | Length: 42.47 mm.

  • Material: High-speed metal (machined for durability under high RPM) for optimal performance in professional nail-drill applications.

  • Purpose: Serves as the structural front nose assembly, ensuring correct alignment of bearings, spindle and collet, contributing to smooth operation and minimal vibration.

Installation Tips

  • Check your current front housing dimensions and any differences if your handpiece is a later revision or “version 101” style.

  • Inspect other front-end components (bearing assemblies, collet chuck, seal rings) for wear—if they’re compromised, replacing the housing alone may not restore optimal performance.

  • Ensure the handpiece is unplugged and powered off before disassembly.

  • Remove the collet chuck, front nose cap and any necessary screws to access the front housing.

  • Clean the housing area of metal shavings, debris, or old lubricant.

  • Install the new 520K02 housing, check that the bearings, spindle and collet align properly within it.

  • Re-assemble, then run the handpiece unloaded at low speed to verify smooth rotation, minimal vibration and correct alignment before full operational use.
