The #520K14 dust seal is a precision replacement part designed for the KUPA “KP” series handpieces (such as the KP-55 and KP-60). This copper-material seal sits around the rotating spindle/collet area and protects critical internal components from dust, debris, and contamination — helping maintain smooth rotation, reduce wear, and extend the operational life of the handpiece.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect the handpiece and ensure it’s powered off/unplugged before disassembly.

  • Remove the front housing/collet section to access the old seal.

  • Clean the seal-housing area thoroughly (remove metal shavings, dust, leftover lubricant) before installing the new seal.

  • Press the new seal into place ensuring flush fit; avoid damaging the seal lip or edges.

  • Reassemble and run the handpiece “unloaded” (no bit in collet) at low speed to ensure smooth operation and no unusual noise or vibration.
