KP-55 Cam 520K06
The KUPA Cam #520K06 is a precision machined replacement component designed to restore performance and alignment in the spindle/rotor assembly of the KP-series handpieces (such as the KP-55 & KP-60). Over time, this cam can wear or deform due to high-speed rotation and load, causing vibration, loss of concentricity, or mis-alignment of the rotor. Replacing this part helps maintain smooth, stable operation and extends the life of the handpiece.
Features
-
OEM-Correct Fit: Specifically listed for KP-55 & KP-60 handpieces.
-
Precise Dimensions: Outside diameter approx. 10.99 mm (0.43”) / Length ~5.86 mm (0.23”) per manufacturer listing.
-
Material: High-speed steel (or equivalent durable steel) for longevity under high RPM use.
-
Critical Role: The cam interacts with the rotor/spindle assembly to transform motion or maintain alignment — a key part of maintaining smooth rotation at high speeds.
Installation Tips
-
Confirm your current cam’s dimensions (O.D., length) match 10.99 mm O.D. and ~5.86 mm length. Ensure your handpiece variant uses the same cam design — older or different series may use a different part number.
🔧 Installation Tips: -
Disconnect the handpiece from power and allow it to stop fully before disassembly.
-
Remove the front housing/collet and any relevant parts to access the cam in the rotor assembly.
-
Clean the housing, rotor surfaces and any mating surfaces of debris or residue.
-
Carefully press or seat the new cam in exactly the correct orientation and depth.
-
After reassembly, test the handpiece unloaded at low speed to confirm smooth rotation and absence of abnormal noise or vibration.
